Summer Movie Review Recap

Just some quick reviews of all the movies I've seen since my last review post. There were probably more movies, but I forgot about em. (Couldn't have been that good if I forgot about them, right?)

Leon
I've wanted to see this movie for a while, as I had heard it was pretty badass. Turns out what I heard was 100% accurate. 4/5.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 2
Spoilers! - The good guys win. The problem with the two half-movies is that neither feels like a full film. I don't mind the idea, but both films should at least be able to stand on their own. Like the Kill Bill movies, or the Star Wars movies. Back to Harry Potter, I was a little underwhelmed by the final movie, but it was still decent. 3/5.

Scream 4
The first Scream is an absolute classic, and the second and third movies are ok. I was pretty excited for Scream 4, and while it doesn't surpass the original (huge surprise there) it's still pretty solid. 3.5/5.

The Zookeeper
The Zookeeper is the best movie I've seen this year, hands down. And no, this is not a joke. This movie dares   to have a major plot point of a gorilla wanting to go to TGIFs. This movie dares to include Adam Sandler as a monkey. This movie dares to employ Joe Rogan (who kills it). Dark horse pick for Best Picture. 4.5/5.

Fright Night
This movie is pure 80's cheese, and it's wonderful. On a sidenote, the remake has an actress in it with the last name Poots. That is not a typo. Her last name is literally Poots. Childhood must have been rough. 3.5/5

Machete
Exactly what you would expect it to be. Steven Seagal should be in every movie, because fuck you. 3.5/5
